Hi Folks,

In previous versions while updating the posting date, Document Date always get changed.

Depending on Business needs, these dates might need to be different. In BC 23 MS introduced a new field Link Doc. Date to Posting Date on Sales & Receivables Setup and Purchase & Payable Setup.

Sales & Receivables Setup:

Purchase & Payable Setup:

Let’s explore how it works. When Turn ON in Sales & Receivables setup, changing the posting date will change the Document Date.

Now changing the Posting Date, the Document Date get changed.

Now let’s toggle OFF

Changing the Posting Date didn’t change the Document Date.
