Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 Wave 1 (BC Version 24): Send Reminders
Now let’s talk on the new feature of Reminder Automation.
Choose the search icon on top right corner or use hotkeys (Alt +Q). Enter Reminder Automation.

The feature is used to automatically Create and Send Reminders. There are two reminders already setup as demo. Click on NEW to create the new reminder.

Click on Create Reminders, to open the card.

User can manually Start, Pause and Refresh the reminders. Click on Log entries to view the history of Reminder Entries. User can Click in Reminders and Issued Reminders.
Reminder Term Filter, this filter is always used to send reminders. The Reminder Terms are defined on customer card, as discussed on Reminder Setup Blog.
Cadence is used to define the frequency of the Reminders, as show below. Besides Manual it can be setup Weekly, Monthly by defining the Start Date.

For Custom Schedule, define the Start Date, and Next Run Date formula.

Click on Setup.

Change the settings and define multiple filter conditions.

Click New, there are three action available.

Send Reminder’s is used to send reminders to customers. Like Create Reminder user can setup Send Reminder.

Click on Setup. Change the settings and define filter conditions.

Let’s create a Reminder. Click on Start, system will create the reminder as per setup’s and filters. The Last Run field will show the status.

Click on Log Entries to open the Reminder Action History or double click on Last run field status.

Click on Manage-> View.

Send Reminder, Click on Start.

Click on Log Entries to open the Reminder Action History or double click on Last run field status.

User can also send email from Reminder -> Issued Reminders.

Click on Send by Email.
